According to the Guinness World Records (GWR), a British world record certifying agency, Canadian woman Donnajan Wilde achieved a new record by maintaining the plank movement for 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 11 seconds. It was more than 10 minutes better than her previous best time of 4 hours, 19 minutes and 55 seconds.

About 12 years ago, Donazhan began doing plank exercises in earnest. He suffered a fractured wrist at the time, so instead of doing strength training using machines or running, he did planks for three hours every day.
