The real estate investment success story of Lim Ha-ryong, the godfather of comedy in his 46th year since his debut, is a hot topic.

According to a copy of the Supreme Court register on the 14th, Lim Ha-ryong owns a building with 1 underground floor and 5 above-ground floors (land 184.5㎡, exclusive use 561.83㎡) located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

This is a neighborhood living facility and residential facility, and it is said that Lim Ha-ryong himself lives on the highest floor.

Lim Ha-ryong purchased the land here in December 1990 and completed the transfer of ownership in January of the following year.

At that time, Lim Ha-ryong is said to have purchased the land for around 400 million won. Later, in 2000, the current building with one underground floor and five above-ground floors was built. He lived on the top floor and opened a cafe in the basement.

Lim Ha-ryong Building is close to Apgujeong Rodeo Station and is considered to be a good location as it is located midway between Hakdong Intersection and Dosan Park Intersection.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s actual transaction price disclosure system, a building of similar size located on the same street as the building owned by Lim Ha-ryong was traded for 12.9 billion won in March.

If Lim Ha-ryong sells the building at a similar price, he will make more than 30 times the profit in 33 years.

In fact, Lim Ha-ryong, who appeared on KBS 2TV’s ‘The Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears’ broadcast on the 12th, asked MC Park Myung-soo, “Isn’t there a building in Apgujeong? When asked, “Has it risen a lot?” he answered, “The current value of the building purchased for 400 million won in 1991 is more than 10 billion won.”
