Announcer-turned-broadcaster Jang Seong-gyu revealed his wife’s history of dermatological procedures.

YouTube channel ‘Supermarket Sora’ released a video titled ‘Things Jang Seong-gyu needs to apologize to his wife for’ on the 1st.

Jang Seong-gyu appeared as a guest in the video and interviewed MC Lee So-ra. She mentioned Lee So-ra and her past broadcast with Jang Seong-gyu, and she asked, “Isn’t her son Ha-jun handsome? Does he look like his mother?”

Then, when Lee So-ra said, “(Jang Seong-gyu’s wife) Yu-mi looks really classical,” Jang Seong-gyu said, “It has an elegant feel from the Joseon Dynasty. I really liked that look.”

Lee So-ra asked, “Is your wife doing anything (procedures, etc.) these days?” Jang Seong-gyu, who hesitated to answer for a moment, said, “Her wife’s smile is pretty,” and “She was talking one day, but her face didn’t move.”

Jang Seong-gyu said, “I had the procedure done without saying anything, so I asked, ‘Where did you put it?’” and “I guess he was worried about the appearance of wrinkles on his nasolabial folds.” He added, “I laughed a little because it was so funny that (the face) didn’t move. Then he asked me if it was strange, and I thought that was cute too.”

When Lee So-ra asked, “Can I go on the video for this? Are you going to edit it?” Jang Seong-gyu said, “You can go out,” and added, “My wife doesn’t watch my broadcast anyway,” making everyone laugh.

Jang Seong-gyu, born in 1983, joined JTBC as an announcer in 2012. Since leaving the company in 2019, he has been working as a freelance broadcaster. Jang Seong-gyu is married to Lee Yu-mi, an elementary school classmate, and they have two sons.
